THE CONVENER
Stanlee Ohikhuare is the founder of RTF and the CEO of Mighty Jot. He is a trained fine artist and a painting specialist from two great Art schools; Yaba College of Technology and the University of Benin. He is a surrealist and a practitioner of the Baroque Art style. Stanlee communicates with images; favouring Visual Storytelling and innovative Cinematography over excessive dialogue. As a director, he loves being behind the camera to ensure that there is visual fidelity in his productions. One thing everyone who follows Stanlee's works enjoys the most about his movies is the attention to detail. Stanlee has a way of blowing up the often "unnoticeable" elements in scenes as part of his signature visual storytelling. Stanlee has successfully created a blend of motion picture and fine art, brought together by a deep-seated surreal philosophy that shines forth in all his productions. For this reason, Stanlee is well respected for his inspiring lighting design and cinematography - both remarkably noticeable owing to his background as a trained fine artist. His admirers call him the "Light Bender" Stanlee's creative expression vastly explores the world of dreams and fantasy, thrillers and horror. His approach to film-making is unequivocally artistic. His films always have social advocacy in ample consideration, and he deals effortlessly with subjects entailing pain, conscience, suffering, shock, "the controversial" and "the inexplicable". Stanlee has been invited to teach at the Pan Atlantic University, the University of Worcester, and the Screen & Film School, Birmingham. |

RTF collaborates!
RTF relies on partnership and collaboration to thrive. Over the years we have enjoyed support from various entities including Cinemas, Hotels, Restaurants, Event Centres, and TV/Radio Companies who have offered media partnerships to give us mileage and visibility. Our brand has been established through the support of these entities.
The responsibility of hosting each edition of the festival, however, rests on a team of relentless people who work voluntarily to curate unforgettable experiences. These experiences have shaped the perception of RTF through the years.
From those who came on board to activate our very first edition in 2016, to many others who have come on board in subsequent years, RTF owes its success to each and every team member who has volunteered their time and intellect to the building of this amazing festival that is curated by filmmakers, for filmmakers!
