Tope Oshin who has been named one of Africa's Leading Women, Nigeria's Most Inspiring Women, and on the Top 7 Power Women in Nigerian Film, is a multiple award-winning filmmaker who studied at the Lagos State University, Nigeria, Colorado Film School, USA, and is also an alumni of Berlinale Talents and Talents Durban.

She has directed altogether about 500 episodes of Africa's biggest drama series - Tinsel, Hotel Majestic and Hush. Other credits include films, and new documentary Amaka’s Kin-The Women Of Nollywood.
Among her producing credits are 26 TV movies, talk shows, and 2015 BFI premiered theatrical feature Fifty. As Supervising Producer and Consultant, has reviewed over 40 screenplays, and also lent her skill as a trainer at several film workshops in Nigeria.
Tope, was Juror for the International Emmy Awards 2015, Eko International Film Festival 2015, and AfricaMagic Viewers Choice Awards 2016.

Dedicated to the memory of Nigeria's most prominent female director, Amaka Igwe (1963-2014), Amaka's Kin follows the stories of Nigeria's most prominent female directors working in male-dominated Nollywood.

Director Pascal Aka was born in Ivory Coast and raised in Ghana. He finished his education in Ontario, Canada where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film Studies at Carleton University.

He began the first 6 years of his career in Canada directing independent action films Souls of Strife (2007) and EVOL (2010) that have won multiple awards at the Action On Film Festival in California in 2009 and 2010. His various music video and commercial works have been showcased on Much Music, CBC, Rogers TV, CNN, and many major Canadian networks. He is a former Director’s General and Vice-President of Independent Filmmaker’s Cooperative of Ottawa where he also served as a directing and cinematography instructor.
In 2011 he relocated to Ghana where he formed Breakthrough Studios, one of the leading music video production companies in Ghana. Awarded for Best African Music Video at the 2016 AFRIMAA Awards in Lagos, Nigeria as well as "Best Directed Video" in 2016.
Throughout his African film career, he has entertained the audience by challenging the African norm of filmmaking through short films “Mr.Q”, “Redemption”, “Ghana Police” and “Her First Time” which have recently won the award for “Best African Short Film” at the Real Time Film Festival in Lagos, Nigeria.
In 2015, he directed the blockbuster action thriller "Interception" (2015) to rave reviews.
After a good run in North America and West Africa, Aka continues to break creative boundaries to take African Cinema to a global audience

The director is a professional writer who has written over three award-winning, good box office films in Nollywood. He is also a Tv producer and has worked in various TV stations in Nigeria amidst other independent projects. He is inspired by the works of Quentin Tarantino, Wong Kar-Wai, Terrence Malick and Ingmar Bergman. He is currently working on his debut feature film.

MO revolves around a teenage girl who became a sex-slave “Prostitution” for her aunt, a religious adept procuress. It is a personal project because of the prominence of its subjects in my home country. The film was shot on set in Lagos and explores the themes Prostitution & Fate, Love Conquers All, Death, Triumph over Adversity.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Mallory Grolleau a réalisé un long-métrage, plusieurs courts-métrages, plusieurs clips, un documentaire historique et de nombreux films de commande.
Il a travaillé avec des acteurs de talent comme Marilou Berry ou Jean-Claude Dreyfus, pour de grandes marques (Nestlé, Vinci, Valéo, HSBC, etc.) et des institutions publiques (Conseil Général de Moselle, Conseil Régional de Lorraine).
Après son cursus universitaire en Lettres Modernes et parallèlement à ses premières réalisations en S8mm et S16mm, il a été technicien Image (lumière, cadre) pendant plusieurs années (1999-2005) pour la TV (TF1, Arte, Canal J), le théâtre et le cinéma.
En parallèle à son activité de réalisateur, il a été associé dans deux sociétés de productions (2006-2012) avec lesquelles il a participé à la fabrication de films de commande, mais aussi de fictions, de documentaires, d’EPK et de clips.
Sur certains de ces films, il a aussi été monteur et graphiste.
Il est également régulièrement lecteur de scénarios, notamment pour le CNC (Commissions de l’Aide à l’Ecriture et de l’Avance sur Recettes).

Merlijn Remmig (22-11-2002, Rotterdam The Netherlands) is a second year student at the Theater Highschool in Rotterdam, where he attends filmclasses six hours per week.
At the age of seven he began following theater lessons at Jeugdtheaterschool Hofplein in Rotterdam and started acting in various tv-commercials, videoclips, shorts and tv-series. During those years he not only learned a lot about acting, but also a lot about filmmaking and he started to get interested in not only being in front of the camera, but also being behind it. It was then that his passion for filmmaking began.
After making some short movies over the years, in 2016 he finally decided it was time to join his first film contest: making a kids movie within just 48 hours. His first "professional" movie was made: Boris & Babette.

SYNOPSIS
The film "Setback of the Spirit", directed by Sa'ed Arouri, portrays the Palestinian cause through the life of a 'Jeddeh', a grandparent that finally returns with her grandson to one of the Palestinian cities after the demise of the occupation. She finds her home exactly as she left it. Her memory takes her back to 1967 where she remembers the last moments she spent in the house. In these memories she finds something completely unexpected. Setback of the Spirit stars Ishaq Ilias, Nibal Al Awadi and Monther Khaleel Rehaneh. Story and production by Laura Haddadin, dramatic treatment by Rifqi Assaf. Ahmad Saif as the Director of Photography and Ahmad Hamaydeh as the Art Director. Set design by Natalie Soumbouloglou.

awards worldwide, including a Goya Award selection and Academy Award pre-selections. In 2010 wrote, produced, and directed a spot for
Amnesty International 50th anniversary, the music was composed by Oscar winner, Hans Zimmer. His new film, “Lila”, beautifully combines
live action with animation and features one of his most charming characters yet.
