RTF PARTNERS WITH SPAR ON CHILDREN'S DAY

On May 27th 2019 (Children's day), the Realtime International Film Festival (RTF) in partnership with SPAR, hosted a Kids Experience session in a family - oriented celebration that was free to participate in.
While SPAR provided the platform and the venues, RTF came on board to take the annual event to another level by screening child-friendly films, and also organising a well attended and keenly contested audition for kids between the ages of five and seventeen. At the end of the day, after screening the participants in the areas of ACTING, MONOLOGUE, DANCING, and SINGING, Five kids were shortlisted for their exceptional performance, by the Artistic Director of RTF, Mr. Stanlee Ohikhuare. Plans are already being made to feature the shortlisted kids in a film, alongside nollywood superstars and celebrities. The movie would be premiered at the cinemas, and also show during the Fim Festival which takes place every year in the month of June. The film production would be a collaborative venture between the Realtime International Film Festival (RTF) and SPAR. RTF is currently the only film festival with a competitive category for "Films made by kids". Established in 2016, the festival has grown to become one of the most exciting and keenly anticipated festivals in Nigeria which attracts International participants to Lagos annually. RTF also runs a kids filmmaking academy where kids are taught the rudiments of filmmaking and provided with the tools to make films. These films are then screened during the festival alongside films made by other kids worldwide. |
